The Online Environment

Vista College’s distance education courses are available to active students 24×7. The online learning model means you have access to courses at times and places that are convenient to you.

As for coursework, the learning management system (Canvas) supports audio, video, and other engaging learning resources. Moreover, access to courses is available on nearly all devices including tablets, PCs, and smart phones. As long as you have internet access, you can complete coursework any time.

Access to a working desktop or laptop computer with internet access and other technology requirements is required for admission to Vista College and is required for completion of various assignments.

A laptop or desktop with Internet access is required for participating in online learning activities and completing course requirements. Although tablets and smartphones can be used, some required learning applications may not be compatible with all devices.

Due to the rapid rate of change in information technology, hardware and software competencies are subject to regular updates; selected courses may be subject to additional requirements.

The Student Resource Center (SRC) supports the academic programs and college information literacy program with electronic learning resources and services. The SRC provides EBSCO library resources and student writing services.

To receive credit for attending class, you must complete a minimum of one weekly graded requirement as defined by the course syllabi. You are strongly encouraged to log in more frequently in order to understand the subject fully and to be successful in class.
